AKEL warmly congratulates Hambis Tsangaris on his distinction at the European Cultural Heritage Awards, Europa Nostra 2023 Awards.

Hambis the printmaker is one of the most noteworthy Cypriot artists, who serves the art of engraving with unique zeal. Through his art, the concerns and anxieties of the people of Cyprus are captured, while at the same time contributing to the promotion of culture as a means of developing mutual understanding and rapprochement between the two communities.

This honorary distinction of Hambis is an honor not just for himself, but also for all Cypriot artists and our Cyprus.
