An AKEL delegation will meet with the Cuban Ambassador

A delegation from AKEL and the People’s Movement (Note: the mass Organisations of the Left), headed by AKEL Parliamentary Representative Giorgos Loucaides, will meet today at 12 noon with the Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Ruben Pino Martinez, at the Embassy offices (26 Pentelis Street, 2013 Strovolos).

The purpose of the visit is to express solidarity with Cuba and its people in view of the escalation of the 65-year-old trade, economic, and financial blockade imposed by the US against Cuba, in violation of the successive Resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly calling for its termination.
