Message of the Galizan People’s Union (UPG) to the 23rd Congress:

«On behalf of the Central Committee and the members of the Galizan
People’s Union (UPG), we send you our greetings as you celebrate the
23rd Congress of your Party.
We wish that the process of prior discussion among the AKEL militants,
the agreements adopted during the Congress and the new Central
Committee of the party that you elect, will allow the Cypriot communists
to advance in the struggle for a reunified Cyprus and for an improvement
of the living conditions of your people.
From Galicia we wish you success in the new period, where we remain as
ever ready to strengthen the ties between our two Parties,
Internationalist greetings.
