Thousands of pensioners will be left without the Easter bonus allowance. The criteria introduced by the Anastasiades-DISY government continues this year too, excluding the overwhelming majority of low-income pensioners, who are in fact living below the poverty line.
The government ignores the demands of both the Union of Cypriot Pensioners and the “House of Elders”. AKEL reiterates its demand to bring back the Easter bonus allowance for low-income pensioners
In other words, the government and DISY are on the one making grandiose pre-election announcements and on the other hand confirm their insensitivity towards the socially vulnerable and the elderly.
