Cypriots are paying the highest price for milk and bread across Europe
The government must show the same zeal for the many as it shows for the interests of the banks and big private interests

Cypriots pay the highest price for milk and bread across Europe. This is demonstrated by a survey released by the European Statistical Office EUROSTAT comparing the price of consumer goods across EU countries.
Cyprus is even more expensive than the EU average when it comes to dairy products, and a number of other essential foodstuffs for households. Private education is approximately 50% more expensive in Cyprus than the EU average, while fuel and electricity are more expensive than the European average.
Furthermore, rents and loan installments must be added in order for the average Cypriot family to sustain a home.
These are the big and burning issues that are curbing the income of households, young couples, workers, pensioners and the vulnerable groups of the population. This is what the Anastasiades government is called upon to feel, namely what the vast majority of the Cypriot people are confronted with. The Anastasiades-DISY government must show the same zeal and haste for the many as it shows for the interests of the banks and big private interests.
