Message of AKEL on the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China

 

 

The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Andros Kyprianou sent today a message to the President of the People’s Republic of China H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping with the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China.

The main part of the letter follows below:

“I would like to convey the warmest heartfelt congratulations of the Central Committee of AKEL and myself on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China.

The 70th Anniversary of the P.R. of China marks a course of struggles and sacrifices of the Chinese people for prosperity, progress, peace and socialism. In all these years, the P.R. of China has been a shining example of solidarity and cooperation with other peoples with the aim of achieving peace for mutual benefit.

The close relations between AKEL and the Communist Party of China have always been moving towards the direction of strengthening the struggles of our two countries for safeguarding their sovereignty and achieving the prosperity of their peoples. We hope that these relations will be safeguarded and will continue in the near future.

We wish the 70th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China will constitute a milestone in strengthening the country’s goals and plans for its future. We hope this future guarantees the further prosperity and progress of China and its people.
