AKEL denounces references to participation in the coup d’état

In today’s newspaper “Politis” there is a report noting that the President of the Larnaka district Association of Army Reservist Officers stated on the internet that he took part in the planning and execution of the 15 July 1974 coup d’état, an action which he indeed says he is proud of. We expect from the authorities who have the responsibility to defend the legal order and justice, and in particular from the Attorney General and the Police, that they react immediately and address the issue.
