AKEL denounces Archbishop’s statements propagating a two-state solution

We express our deep regret about the Archbishop’s statements made today in favour of a two-state solution. Archbishop Chrysostomos II prefers the definitive surrender of our occupied territories and the legalization of the fait accompli of the invasion and occupation. He proposes the adoption of Turkey’s Plan. Shame on him! This is the tragic point to which the defeatist anti-federal policy leads to. All those circles and forces who have always been supporting and are supported by the Archbishop must reflect on where they are driving the country towards.
