The Political Bureau of the C.C. of AKEL today met at a session to discuss developments in the Cyprus problem. The body was briefed on the latest developments surrounding the Cyprus problem and discussed in depth the given situation and prospects as they are evolving in view of the meeting in Switzerland.
The Political Bureau of the C.C. of AKEL reiterates its position that in the buildup to the meeting in Switzerland calm, prudence and consensus should prevail on the domestic front. The Party will continue to act seriously and responsibly, and will work creatively towards the achievement of a solution that will liberate and reunite the country and the people.
