AKEL condemns the violation of Syria’s sovereignty by Turkey

AKEL condemns the invasion of Turkey in Syria, an action that constitutes a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and of International Law.
We recall that Turkey bears grave responsibilities for the creation of the current tragic situation in Syria, without excluding its support towards the “Islamic State” itself. Turkey’s declared intentions against the Kurds of Syria if implemented will complicate even further the already tragic situation in the country, maintaining Turkey as an integral part of the Syrian crisis.
