The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Andros Kyprianou today continued his contacts in the European Parliament. Within the framework of his contacts he briefed his interlocutors on recent developments surrounding the Cyprus problem and requested their support, so that the negotiations due to resume should have a positive outcome.

The General Secretary of the C.C.of AKEL stressed that efforts by European politicians must be directed towards Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leadership to convince them to work based on the agreed framework, aiming to find a just, functional and viable solution. Furthermore, he also briefed his interlocutors about the negative impact the decisions taken by the Eurogroup and the Anastasiades Government are having on the Cypriot people.
