Israel continues the mass murder of children and civilians

 

 

The new attack of the Israeli war machine on Gaza has left hundreds dead, the majority of them women, children and civilians. This is a new act in the genocide committed since October 2023 against the Palestinian people. This development comes in the wake of the obstruction of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the cutting of electricity and Israel’s systematic violation of the ceasefire, at a time when the brutal violence of the occupying forces and settlers has never ceased in the West Bank.

It is clear that Israel and the extremist Netanyahu government, in coordination with the US Trump Administration, are attempting to complete the ethnic cleansing and genocide and to re-draw the borders of the Middle East to suit their interests, after plunging it into blood and devastation.

AKEL condemns Israel’s new barbarity and reiterates its solidarity with the heroic people of Palestine and their struggle for freedom. We call on the Christodoulides government to end its silence on the genocide and the atrocities taking place next to us, to defend international law, humanitarian law and UN Resolutions. To raise with the British government the opposition of our people to the involvement of the bases in the genocide and the war, which at the same time creates enormous risks for the security of the country.
