The General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou replies to the President of DISY

The operation of her party to rally its voters in which the President of the DISY party is engaged would merely be considered earnest if it did not include the systematic distortion of AKEL’s positions. This may of course be due to ignorance of important issues of our country’s political history. For example, as everyone knows, the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the EU was supported by all political forces in the country.

As for delivering lessons about democracy, we can have this discussion if the DISY leadership is sure that it wants to open up this discussion.

But until then it should provide an answer as to how democracy can be reconciled with their pathetic deals with far-right ELAM.
