A government that is part of the problem can’t solve the problem of institutional interwoven interests and corruption
Statement by Aristos Damianou, AKEL Political Bureau member
AKEL replies to the Government Spokesperson
AKEL C.C. Press Office, 16th January 2021, Nicosia
Government spokesman Mr. Kousios’ reply to AKEL, about Mr. Anastasiades’ self-evident institutional interwoven interests, if it were not tragic, would be funny.
When the Republic of Cyprus is being discredited internationally because a President of the Republic (who declares himself innocent and clean) becomes a promoter and seller of golden passports and can’t find a word to reply in essence to what is well-documented against them in Cyprus and abroad, then neither can citizens expect the government of glass towers and lifestyle understand, let alone provide solutions to the problems of unemployment, insecurity, non-performing loans, rents and foreclosures.
Nor can a government that is part of the problem can’t solve the problem of institutional interwoven interests and corruption.
