AKEL replies to ruling DISY party

We agree that the citizenship-by-investment-scheme is important for the country’s economy. Besides, this was also noted by the General Secretary of the Party in his statements. The Anastasiades-DISY government, however, by granting citizenship/passports to swindlers, thieves and corrupt people, undermined and discredited it and at the same time it has exposed Cyprus internationally. By doing so the government ruling forces do not serve the interests of the country, but on the contrary they are harming them.
Cyprus is being exposed internationally and the government is trying to mislead the people.
