The hardship, devaluation and uncertainty in the field of Culture continues

There is no end to the ordeal working people face in the field of Culture. Despite the fact that four months have passed and the repeated promises made the government ruling forces that the allowance will be paid, nonetheless a big number of working people have not received this allowance yet. At the same time, the funds allocated to kick start cultural activity are inadequate, while there doesn’t appear to be any prospect of a complete reactivation of cultural activities.
AKEL calls on the government to listen to the voices of despair from the people of the letters and arts and to at long last concern itself with cultural activity. The field of Culture employs thousands of workers and is a developmental sector, but above all, it is an orchard wherethe greatest values of life are cultivated and flourish.
Any further delay on the part of the government ruling forces may be fatal for the whole cultural creation field.
