AKEL delegation in mass May Day march in Cuba

The AKEL delegation in Cuba participated today in the Workers May Day celebration, which was honored in Havana with a distinct magnificence.
The President of the country, Raul Castro saluted the inspiring parade, together with the members of the Council of Ministers and the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba. Thousands of officials were on the platform of the parade, among them the AKEL delegation, the members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Cuba, as well delegations from other parties from abroad.
Next to Raul Castro was the President of the Seychelles and George Mavrikios, General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions WFTU.
Approximately one million people participated in the mass parade.
The AKEL delegation is headed by Andros Kyprianou, General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL, and also includes Yiorgos Loukaides, member of Political Bureau and Parliamentary Representative and Chrystalla Antoniou, member of the Political Bureau. The AKEL delegation will continue its contacts in Havana tomorrow.
