We fully understand the discomfort of the President of the governing DISY party. His Parliamentary Group in the last three years has been the agency and vehicle for the implementation of Memoranda austerity policies. It is also the agency which represents the worst examples of political behaviour, at the same time as depreciation is knocking dangerously on the door of the political system.

Instead of scolding AKEL it would be better if it were to rethink its political choices. Instead of taking up its time in an attempt to create and launch pre-election fireworks, as unfortunately we are worried that the announcement on the implementation of a reduction in compulsory military service will end up, they should be focusing on the serious problems of society, which have multiplied as a result of their own Memoranda and anti-social policies.

Despite Mr. Neofytou’s uneasiness, we shall dare issue another warning. That is to say, they should stop lying to the people whenever we have elections and whenever their policies are leading society into deadlocks. They did this with the theory of an “active volcano” on the Cyprus problem. They did the same with the issue of the S300 missiles which will still haven’t seen. They did so with the “pledges” Mr. Anastasiades made and with the loud “NO’s” to privatizations and haircuts and they are doing the same today too.

They should stop playing games with our intelligence and people’s lives.
