Valentinos G. Fakontis was born in 1985 in Paphos and lives in Geroskipou. He is married to Niovi Michael and they have three children.

He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and works as a Civil Engineer.

From 2019 until today he is a member of the Borough Committee of AKEL Geroskipou and was a member of EDON (2001-2003) and a member of the Progressive Movement of Students (2005-2011).

He is also a member of the District Board of the Paphos Association of Civil Engineers (2020-2021) and an associate of the Margarita Liasidou Foundation (2012-2021), while he was a member of the Central Board of the Association of Civil Engineers (2015-2017) and a member of the District Council of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) (2015-2018).

From 2016 until today he is a Municipal Councilor and School Superintendent of Geroskipou.
