Valid questions are raised about the way the government handled the meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister

Just as the government was announcing the cancellation of the President of the Republic’s meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov, according to press reports, the Foreign Ministers of four EU member states requested a meeting with him.

If this is true, it raises valid questions about the way in which the government handled the meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and the possible negative consequences that this would have to the detriment of the vital national interests of the Republic of Cyprus. Indeed at a time when much is being said about direct flights from Russia to the illegal airport of Tympou [in the occupied areas] and the anti-Russian conditions set by the US for the lifting of the arms embargo against Cyprus.

The government is called upon to reply and stop hiding.
