Profession: Consultant medical oncologist.
Foreign languages: English.

Parliamentary tenure / activity:
Representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of AKEL-Left-New Forces 2003-2004 and of Limassol constituency since 2011.
On 23 October 2020 he was elected President of the House of Representatives for the rest of the Eleventh Term of Office of the House.

  • Member (1996-2016) and president (2016- ) of the board of the Cyprus Anti-cancer Society.
  • President of the National Committee on Cancer Strategy (2010-2015).
  • Member of the board and president of the Scientific Committee and the Center of the study of haematological malignancies (KEMAK) of the Karaiskakio Foundation.
